Chief Executive Fernando Chui Sai On and Communist Party of China (CPC) Beijing Municipal Committee Secretary Guo Jinlong agreed during a working meeting in the capital yesterday to start a co-operation programme between the two cities this year, including Beijing being the partner city of this year’s 21st Macau International Trade and Investment Fair (MIF).
The media was only allowed in for a photo call prior to the meeting, which was held at Beijing Hotel.
Guo used the heavy rain on Wednesday to start the conversation, saying how it might have caused Chui and the Macau media inconvenience during their travel.
