The Macau Government Tourism Office (MGTO) confirmed to public broadcaster TDM that Broadway Macau is providing 300 rooms for yellow health code holders who live in Zhuhai.

Meanwhile, parcel collection companies told TDM yesterday that their delivery services might experience a delay as 40 percent of the sector’s offices and storage facilities are located in Nanping town in Zhuhai city, where a number of new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed. One of the parcel collection companies’ owners said that they have been trying to temporarily relocate the storage facilities and offices to another location in Zhuhai in order to minimise the delays. However, the owner added that it was likely that same-day deliveries will be delayed to the next day, while the next-day deliveries will be arriving the day after.

Goods ordered online from mainland companies such as Taobao are usually only delivered free of charge to mainland cities, while deliveries to Macau charge an additional fee. Therefore, there are a number of parcel collection companies set up in Zhuhai that receive parcels for people living in Macau and transfer them to a designated pick-up spot for their buyers to collect them here.

Meanwhile, the Marine and Water Bureau (DSAMA) said in a statement on Friday that the ferry route between Macau’s Inner Harbour Terminal and Wanzai in Zhuhai has been suspended until further notice.
