Representatives of the grassroots Macau Community Development Initiative (MCDI) urged the Commission Against Corruption (CCAC) yesterday to investigate whether any official or officials are culpable of malfeasance or graft while dealing with 15 plots of land when the respective provisional concessions had already expired.

According to the Land Law, a provisional land concession cannot be extended. The maximum period of a provisional land concession is 25 years.

Representatives of the group including Jeremy Lei Man Chao, the association’s vice-president, and veteran lawmaker Au Kam San, yesterday handed a petition to an official in the lobby of the CCAC office in Dynasty Plaza.
