According to a Macau Urban Renewal Limited (MUR) statement yesterday, work for the new pile foundation for the temporary housing units and home-swap housing units on Lot P have begun, adding that the project is “progressing according to plan”.
Lot P is the former plot of the Pearl Horizon residential project, which was a land concession annulled in early 2016.
The statement underlined that construction on Areia Preta’s Lot P began in the middle of last year, with abandoned pile caps removed while existing piles were also tested.
The statement pointed out that Lot P consists of three lots of land and public roads.
Lot A will contain six residential towers, offering around 2,000 home-swap housing units. Meanwhile, Lot B and Lot C will comprise eight residential towers, providing around “2,800 temporary housing units for urban renewal purposes”.
The statement noted that the structure is “of podium-style building”, featuring “a green deck, retail space, public transport interchange, two new public roads 24 metres wide, [with] each including carriageways and pedestrian walkways [and] fire lanes”. The statement added that it will also have pedestrian zones and a footbridge.
The construction project is planned to be completed in 2024, providing around “2,900 car parking spaces and over 1,000 motorcycle parking spaces” upon its completion.
The public can view the project’s status on MUR’s official website, while relevant information is also released on various media platforms.
