According to the statement, as the “Stay, Dine and See Macao” project has been extended to this year, until yesterday 6,854 residents had signed up for local tours and 922 staycation packages had been sold, involving 2,280 people.
The statement noted that the most popular itineraries are the “Savour gastronomy in hot food spot of Macao”, “Travel around Macao by sea, land and air”, “New year fireworks display of Macao + Macao aquatic trek” tours. The statement underlined that the Spring Festival limited edition itineraries were especially popular with local residents, therefore the Macau Government Tourism Office has increased its quota from 600 participants to 840 participants.
The statement also said that this year’s project includes a “Choose your own route” itinerary, adding that most of the groups have chosen to visit Coloane. The statement noted that until yesterday 185 people had signed up for the “Choose your own route” itinerary in groups of 10 or 30.
The statement said that this year’s project runs until August 31, pointing out that all those who enjoyed the discounts last year can still enjoy this year’s promotions. The statement underlined that each resident can get a 280-pataca subsidy once, including a 100-pataca food coupon. Besides, each resident can also get a 200 pataca subsidy for the staycation package, stressing that each hotel room package can at most use two residents’ subsidies.
