The Public Administration and Civil Service Bureau (SAFP) said in a statement last week that 115,956 residents have registered for their annual proof of life digitally.

According to the statement, 139,306 registered for their proof of life, and 83.2 percent completed their registration via a self-service machine or the “Common Access to Public Services of the Macau SAR” (common access). The statement added that 59,203 people have registered using the common access, which accounts for 51 percent of the total, a 5 percent year-on-year increase. The statement noted that over 300,000 residents have a common access account.

The statement also said that more than 8,000 local residents living outside Macau have completed their proof of life via common access.

Meanwhile, the statement said that common access launched a new function for car owners. The statement added that on the common access, the car owner can register a private vehicle under a person’s name, pointing out that car owners can now pay their vehicle taxes conveniently online.

The statement said that up to Wednesday, 57,058 vehicles were registered on common access.
