The Sports Bureau (ID) announced in a statement yesterday that it will assist sports venues to obtain venue QR codes.
The statement underlined that that in line with the Health Bureau’s (SSM) regulations, local “bodybuilding or workout gyms as well as indoor and outdoor sports venues” must display a venue QR code, while visitors must be reminded to scan them prior to entering the venues.
The venues should also offer a “retro digitisation” function and reverse scan the health codes of those unable to use the “Macau Health Code” app for recording their visits, the statement pointed out.
The bureau currently has venue QR codes displayed in public sports facilities, while “bodybuilding or workout gyms” authorised by the bureau through “prior notification” were contacted to put the Venue QR Code arrangement into effect.
Moreover, the statement pointed out that in accordance with “the regulations of Decree-Law No. 47/98/M, any activities of venues related to the business of bodybuilding or workout gyms regulated in item c) under provision 1 of Article 12, should submit prior notification” to the bureau through submitting “Form A attached to Decree-Law No. 47/98/M and other relevant documents at least 10 days before start of business”.
The statement reminded eligible venues that have not submitted “the prior notification” to promptly contact the bureau to apply for the “relevant business authorisation”, adding that the bureau will assist in creating Venue QR Code for these venues.
Moreover, the statement urged the venues following Decree-Law No. 47/98/M to call 8796 5409 or 8796 5442 during office hours “as soon as possible” for obtaining and displaying the Venue QR Code and aid in enforcing measures against the pandemic.
