MGM will present “Taste of Reminiscence” this spring, showcasing the “true flavours of Chinese cuisines”.
According to an MGM statement yesterday, Imperial Court at MGM MACAU and Chún at MGM COTAI, will each launch special Cantonese cuisine menus, which also pay tribute to Lingnan gastronomic culture.
Imperial Court’s Sweet and sour pork roll with preserved olive showcases the “traditional treasures” of Cantonese cuisine, giving the Chaozhou favourite pork roll extra flavour with preserved olive and sweet and sour plum sauce.
Chún will present stir-fried grouper fillet served with steamed lobster broth and egg white, showcasing the chef’s Cantonese culinary techniques and putting cooking techniques in one bite with the fresh stir-fired grouper fillet on silky steamed egg white. The wok-fried prawn with choi sum and Yunnan ham has the freshness of prawns and green, and is served in elegant plating resembling a woman’s bun in the old days.
Moreover, Five Foot Road at MGM COTAI is bringing “sumptuous 24 flavours in Sichuanese cuisine” to Macau. The restaurant is serving Chengdu traditional poached rice with seasonal vegetable and pig intestine in bean soup, a creamy soup made of white peas, which is a local favourite comfort food. Other authentic delicacies, including the double-boiled fish maw with spring bamboo shoots in bouillon and Chengdu special Wok-fried pork with baby garlic stem and broad bean paste are also served.
MGM MACAU’s Pastry Bar and Rossio, as well as MGM COTAI’s Anytime are also serving a line-up of spring-themed pastries and tea sets. Other MGM restaurants are also including a wide selection of “seasonal menus and nutritious delicacies”.
The “Taste of Reminiscence” and other seasonal delicacies are available until May 31, while the Sichuan specialties at Five Foot Road will be available from April 1 to May 31. Prices come with 10 percent service charge.
