Local artist showcases her sentimental wind & dream watercolours

An event entitled “Fantasy Unending Watercolour Painting Exhibition” (幻想未竟_小玉藝術作品展) by Yui Ng Iok Lin is on display at the Creative Macau gallery until March 26.

The exhibition is hosted by Creative Macau, Centre for Creative Industries(創意產業中心).

According to a statement by the gallery, the exhibition features watercolours, focused on depicting female portraits, exploring the inner emotions of human expressions. The paintings are inspired by fictitious fairy tales and spiritual themes, through the imagination of spirits and dreams, conveying messages of a fantasy worldview, the statement points out.

Ng was born in Macau and graduated from Taiwan Changhua University of Education, Department of Fine Arts in 2014. According to the statements, she lives and works in Macau as a watercolour artist and freelance illustrator.

Ng has held five solo exhibitions since 2013 and three group exhibitions since 2014 in Taiwan and Macau, such as Treasure Island – 104 Fine Arts Department Graduation Exhibition at NCUE Art Centre, Changhua, Taiwan; and Macau Annual Visual Arts Exhibition 2015 in Macau, the statement noted.

The exhibits are for sale. The prices range between 2,500 patacas and 22,000 patacas.

The exhibition opens daily from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. (closed on Sundays) at Creative Macau, G/F, Macau Cultural Centre Building, Xian Xing Hai Avenue. Admission is free.

All visitors to the venue must wear a facemask, have their temperature checked and present a digital health code.
