Central Districts Community Service Consultative Council member Lou Hip Wa complained yesterday that there are still no specific regulations in place for the operation of online shops selling food items, urging the government to tighten its supervision of the shops as soon as possible.
Lou, vice-chairman of the Macau Vendors Mutual Help Association, made the remarks during a regular meeting of the government-appointed council at the Public Services Centre in Rotunda de Carlos da Maia.
Addressing the meeting, which was partly open to the media, Lou pointed out that a rising number of consumers prefer purchasing food on the Internet.
