Lawmaker-cum-civic leader Ho Ion Sang yesterday urged the government-appointed Urban Renewal Council to ensure that the public will be well informed about its operations even though its meetings do not have to be held in public.
Ho made the appeal on the sidelines of yesterday’s inspection tour of the Pac On Ferry Terminal project in Taipa.
Asked by reporters about the council’ s decision to hold all its meetings behind closed doors, Ho, vice president of the Macau General Union of Neighbourhood Associations (commonly known as Kai Fong), said the public wanted a transparent government, particularly the operation of the Urban Renewal Council.
