The Marine and Water Bureau (DSAMA) said in a statement yesterday it was assessing the tariffs of the city’s tap water, adding that the tariffs were expected to be adjusted in the fourth quarter.
The bureau did not elaborate on its possible tariff adjustments.
The bureau said in the statement that its water supply costs had increased in recent years, pointing out that in 2014-15 the costs were about 7.75 patacas per cubic metre of water while the costs were around 6.68 patacas in 2013, an increase of about 16 percent.
