Parents, teachers and children from St. Anthony’s Kindergarten have created artworks from used items and are displaying them at an exhibition titled “Passeio de Lazer em Campos Verdes” (“Leisure Walk in Green Fields”).
The Education and Youth Development Bureau (DESDJ) says in a recent statement that the kindergarten believed that home education is the main motivation for children’s development, so it has cooperated with parents in creating the exhibition for children to learn more about the importance of protecting the ecosystem.
According to the statement, the exhibition is divided into three parts – land, sea, and sky. The statement said that parents and teachers used recycled material such as plastic bottles, tissue boxes, cardboard boxes, and plastic lids to create various artworks. The statement underlined that the aim of the exhibition is to emphasise the importance of protecting the environment, while showcasing the artworks jointly created by parents and teachers.
The exhibition, which is being held at the Centre of Educational Resources in Avenida da Praia Grande, opens from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays, and from 9:30 a.m. to 1p.m., and from 2 p.m. to 5:40 p.m. on Saturdays. The exhibition runs until April 23 and admission is free.
All visitors to the venue must wear a facemask, have their temperature checked and present a digital health code.
