‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ axed due to COVID-19

The Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) announced in a statement yesterday that the cancellation of the performances of The Very Hungry Caterpillar owing to the COVID-19 pandemic prevention measures in the mainland.

According to the statement, the cancelled shows produced by a Shanghainese company were slated for April 14 to April 17 at the Macau Cultural Centre (CCMs) Small Auditorium. The statement noted that refunds will be available from May 17 at CCM’s Box Office and Macau Ticketing Network counters.

New dates for the show will be announced in due course, the statement said.

The bureau will monitor the pandemic situation and act in line with the Health Bureau’s (SSM) guidelines, the statement noted, added that the understanding of young audiences is appreciated.
