The public Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Centre (CPTTM) will be holding the renowned “Alibaba Cloud Certification Professional (ACP)” training course next month, as well as the “Alibaba Cloud Security Course” and “Alibaba Cloud Big Data Course” in the third and fourth quarters, the centre’s Information System and Technology Department Manager Au Chi Vai, said yesterday during a signing ceremony at the centre in Zape.
CPTTM Director General Victoria Alexa Kuan Chan (關治平) signed a cooperation agreement on providing training and certification services with Business Development Manager at Alibaba Cloud Intelligence International Macau António Leong (梁國鋒) yesterday during the ceremony.
Kuan said in a speech during the ceremony that Macau’s infrastructure as a smart city relies on cloud computing and its technology, adding that digital transformation is a popular trend in Macau as backstage management systems and big-data analyses are covered by cloud services.
She also said that cooperation with Alibaba Cloud allows CPTTM to conduct different training courses for local information technology industry employees which enables them to learn more about Alibaba Cloud technology and obtain the respective certification.
Leong said he hoped that cooperation with CPTTM can bring professional knowledge and different skills courses to the industry, aiming to train and gather more technology talents for the local IT sector. As the technologies keep developing and innovating, enterprises as well as cities are being forced to join the digital transformation process, in which talent training is one of the important parts, Leong added.
