The France Macau Chamber of Commerce (FMCC) announced in a recent statement the launch of three subcommittees: GBA Tourism & Leisure Committee; Technology Innovation Committee; and French Culinary Arts Committee.
According to the statement, the FMCC GBA Tourism & Leisure Committee “aims to be a neutral entity collaborating with government authorities and the business community that encourages entities to connect and cooperate through white-papers, forums, panel discussions and other channels”.
The committee is led by The Platinum Managing Director Mary Mendoza. The statement added that its committee members comprise MdME Lawyers Founding Partner João Encarnação; BNU General Manager of Corporate Banking Teren Cheong; and Sofitel Macau at Ponte 16 Hotel Manager Vinzenz Rosa de Pauli.
The FMCC Technology Innovation Committee aims to help FMCC members and Macau citizens to commence their “Web3 journey and discover business opportunities” through accessing Macau’s population about “Web3 technologies and empowering the community to embrace Web3”, the statement noted.
The committee is led by KIX Esports Co-founder Charles Fauchet, while its committee members are M Plus Sports Media Head of Business Development Alan Yung; Head of Macau LQV Group Benjamin Barraclough; CA Lawyers Founding Partner José Álvares; and Mary Mendoza.
Meanwhile, the French Culinary Arts Committee is led by Barraclough while its committee members are Fauchet, Sofitel Macau at Ponte 16 F&B Assistant Director Lukas Beck; and Jin Yue Xuan Group Macau & Zhuhai Operations Head Nigel Chan
The committee, the statement said, aims to raise awareness of French food and beverages in the city by focusing on “unsung French regions and culinary styles”, working with the Hong Kong based French Trade Commissioner to connect food producers and chefs with Macau and “orchestrating with suppliers and French producers the liaison to venues and resorts to create events”.
