The University of Macau (UM) said in a statement on Friday that the Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) organised its first “Study Trip/Group Report Workshop” for Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) students.

The statement did not say when exactly the four-day workshop took place.

The students, the statement added, participated in field trips to well-known enterprises and organisations in Macau and Zhuhai to further understand various industries, while professors from different universities gave lectures and shared opinions on different management topics.

According to the statement, the workshops covered key industries in Macau and Zhuhai such as modern finance, integrated resorts and high-tech agriculture. The students, who the statement pointed out are “veteran management professionals”, were able to get a further understanding of the industries and exchanged ideas with senior executives and professionals from different sectors.

The workshop was led by Centre for Continuing Education Director and FBA Executive Education Office Coordinator Matthew Liu Ting-Chi and Executive Education Office Administrative Staff Triss Liang Yongxin, the statement said. Professors from universities such as Fudan University, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and Shaanxi Normal University gave online talks to the students.

Moreover, the statement underlined that the students also visited several business premises including MGM COTAI, Macao Young Entrepreneur Incubation Centre, Melco Resorts, Huafa Mall and the Read Zone Bookstore of Zhuhai Huafa Group Co. Ltd, and Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Modern Agriculture Demonstration Park, among others.
