Members of the public are invited to celebrate the Macau Grand Prix Museum’s first anniversary on June 1, with the museum organising various activities for museumgoers, according to a Macau Government Tourism Office (MGTO) statement yesterday.

The statement noted that there will be free admission to the museum next Wednesday.

For a free gift, museumgoers can complete the “simple mission” or “advanced mission”. To do so, the statement said, they can take at least one photo or video with any exhibit, interactive game or tourism mascot Mak Mak at the museum during the event.  They can then add the hashtag #MGPM#1stanniversary and share it either on Facebook as a public post, on WeChat Moments or on Instagram.

Posts that garner 20 likes achieve the “simple mission”, while 40 likes achieve the “advanced mission”.

Gifts, which are limited and distributed on a first-come-first-serve basis, can be obtained after presenting one’s post to information counter staff between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. on the day of the event, the statement pointed out.

Meanwhile, the museum will also host the “Photo Contest of the Classic Car and Motorcycle Parade and Show” exhibition from June 1 to July 4.  The contest is organised by the Automobile General Association Macao-China in conjunction with the Photographic Society of Macao and is held for the second year, according to the statement.  An award ceremony will be held at the museum at 6:30 p.m. on June 1. Moreover, the museum will also launch an augmented reality (AR) game titled “Cross the Finishing Line” on the same day, the statement said.

In line with the Health Bureau’s (SSM) pandemic prevention measures, visitors must wear a facemask at all times, undergo a temperature check, present a valid Macao Health Code and scan the venue code.
