The Public Security Police (PSP) said in a statement yesterday that it has transferred a case to the Public Prosecution Office (MP) involving a local man working as a “Ubxx” driver suspected of drink-driving.

According to the statement, the suspect surnamed Iau, who is in his thirties, was arrested during an action combating illegal passenger services in Cotai on Saturday afternoon.

The PSP statement “there was a strong indication” that the man was charging for passenger transport services in a private vehicle without a taxi licence, pointing out that the man used a mobile app to find his clients. The statement identified the app as “Ubxx”.
