The Public Security Police (PSP) said in a statement yesterday a local driver admitted to police that he had done a U-turn in the middle of Friendship Bridge and headed in the wrong direction on Sunday after taking methamphetamine, popularly known as Ice.
According to the statement, the suspect was transferred to the Public Prosecution Office (MP) for further questioning yesterday.
According to the statement, at about 3:54 a.m. on Sunday the PSP received a report that a white car was being driven in the wrong direction on the bridge. After the report PSP officers rushed to the scene but couldn’t find the white car.
