Tourism chief expect s10 pct rise in int’l tourists

Macau Government Tourist Office (MGTO) Director Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes said yesterday she expected the number of “international” tourists to rise by 10 percent this year.

Senna Fernandes also said that the total number of tourists rose slightly year-on-year during the first six months of this year.

According to the Statistics and Census Bureau (DSEC), the number of visitor arrivals rose 0.1 percent year-on-year to 14.76 million in the first half of the year.
