A fire broke out in a restaurant in Nape in the wee hours of yesterday, the Fire Services Bureau (CB) said in a statement yesterday.
The statement said that at 2 a.m. yesterday the bureau received a call about a restaurant in Chong Fu Building in Alameda Dr Carlos d’Assumpção being on fire. The statement said firefighters arrived at the scene and forced the door open with tools and put out the fire with the hydrant system.
No one needed to be evacuated during the incident.
After inspection, the firefighters concluded that the blaze was possibly caused by a malfunction in the refrigerator, said the statement, adding that a bin and sundries was melted in the fire
