The public services of the Post and Telecommunications Bureau (CTT) have been temporarily suspended through Friday, in response to Macau’s COVID-19 outbreak, according to a statement by CTT on Sunday.

The statement listed the bureau’s suspended services, namely the General Post Office (GPO) and all other post offices, the Macau Postal Savings Bank, the bureau’s eSign Trust Registration Authority and Telecommunications Resource Management Division, as well as the mail delivery service will be suspended through Friday.

Meanwhile, the Express Mail Service (EMS) resumed mail deliveries on Sunday.

The statement also said that the Communications Museum will also be closed sine die.

Regarding the payment of radiocommunications fees, the deadline will be postponed accordingly for fees that cannot be paid during the temporary closure period.

Due to the government’s activation of its COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control management, CTT will temporarily store the postal items for the city’s lockdown (red) zones, and will resume the mail delivery service in the affected zones as soon as possible after they are unlocked, the statement.

Therefore, a “mail collection box” will be placed in the reception area of the GPO on Largo do Senado (澳門議事亭前地), where mail can be deposited until 5.30 p.m. on Friday.

For updated information on CTT services, please visit the official website at www.ctt.gov.mo, or send an email to cttgeral@ctt.gov.mo, or call 83968519 (Post Office) and 83968899 (Telecommunications) during office hours.
