The tally of Macau's current COVID-19 outbreak has reached 414, the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre said in a statement this morning.

According to the statement, 57 new cases were confirmed between 00:00 and 24:00 yesterday.

The number of new cases was up by 23  compared with the figure of 391 announced by the centre during yesterday afternoon's daily press conference about the outbreak.

Macau confirmed the first case of the current outbreak on June 18.

The outbreak's third mandatory citywide nucleic acid testing (NAT) drive ends at 6 p.m. today. The free mass testing campaign comprises not only residents and non-resident workers but all people who are currently in Macau.

Health Bureau (SSM) officials announced yesterday that the outbreak has resulted in its first "serious but stable" case, a 60-year-old local woman with chronic diseases.

In response to the outbreak, the government has been distributing rapid antigen test ("self-test") kits to all people in Macau free of charge, as well as KN95 facemasks.

According to the Health Bureau's website at 3 p.m., Macau's cumulative number since January 22, 2020 of confirmed and asymptomatic cases stood at 172 and 475 cases respectively.

No COVID-19 fatalities have been reported in Macau.
