Macau's Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre announced this afternoon the city's first two COVID-19 deaths. Both died this morning.

According to a statement by the centre, both were chronically ill female senior citizens from the Obra das Maes nursing home in the Praia do Manduco neighbourhood, aged 100 and 94 years respectively.

The centre "expressed its sincere condolences and deepest sympathy" to the bereaved families.
