The Pharmaceutical Supervision and Administration Bureau (ISAF) announced in a statement yesterday that information on the stock of KN95 masks in local pharmacies is available on its website in line with the increasing demand for the product and the government’s COVID-19 prevention measures.
Members of the public can visit www.isaf.gov.mo from today, which will have information on the KN95 masks’ stock levels updated every two hours, the statement noted. Moreover, a survey will be conducted daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. in line with most pharmacies’ opening hours.
The statement reminded the public that the number of masks in stock in pharmacies may vary owing to the actual sales situation, while the prices of the KN95 masks may vary based on “packaging, brand, place of origin, and shipping costs”.
The price per KN95 mask currently ranges from 2 to 5 patacas in pharmacies, the statement said, and they are also available in various other retail outlets. Therefore, “it is not necessary to stock up and purchase too many at once”, the statement pointed out.
For more information, one can contact the bureau on 8598 3522 during office hours or 8598 3504 for the 24-hour voicemail, the statement added.
