The Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre urged the public today to update their personal details on the rapid antigen test (RAT) reporting platform.
In order to rapidly and effectively contact people who are at risk of being infected by COVID-19, the statement underlined, especially for those who got a positive result from their citywide nucleic acid test (NAT) in the mixed NAT samples, or people who tested positive in their rapid antigen test for COVID-19, the centre urged people in Macau to provide an emergency contact number, on which the government is able to contact them even if they are at work or it is inconvenient for them to answer their mobile phone, on the RAT reporting platform.
Meanwhile, the statement underlined that people must provide details of their permanent address or the address of their current location. It stressed that people with positive results in their rapid antigen test must immediately report the situation on the platform so that appropriate services can be provided by the government. The statement added that people who test positive for COVID-19, if they show symptoms, such as fever or respiratory conditions, should phone for an ambulance by calling 119, 120 or 2857 2222 as fast as possible.
The statement noted that if the RAT result is positive, the person and his/her cohabitants should not go out, and nucleic acid tests will be arranged for them. In order to protect the cohabitants, the centre urged the person who tested positive to put on a KN95 facemask at once.
