Macau's overall residential property price index for March-May decreased 0.6 percent over the previous survey period (February – April 2022), the Statistics and Census Bureau (DSEC) announced today.
According to a DSEC statement, the index for the peninsula dropped 0.9 percent while that for Taipa and Coloane rose 0.3 percent.
The overall index for existing residential units fell 0.5 percent, with the indices for those in the peninsula and Taipa-Coloane dipping 0.5 percent and 0.2 percent respectively.
The index for residential units of buildings older than 20 years decreased 0.6 percent, whereas the indices for those five years old or less and for those between 11 and 20 years old both rose 0.3 percent. Meanwhile, the index for pre-sale residential units grew 1.7 percent.
The indices for residential units with a usable floor area of 100 square metres or more and for those with a floor area between 50 and 74.9 square metres decreased 3.8 percent and 1.9 percent respectively, while the index for those with less than 50 square metres rose 1.1 percent, the statement said.
