A fire broke out at a villa in Cheoc Van Hao Yuan in Coloane yesterday afternoon, according to a Fire Services Bureau (CB) statement.
No one was injured.
According to the statement, the bureau received a report at about 5 p.m. yesterday about the incident. The statement said that firefighters found smoke and flames coming from the third-floor windows of the villa, and subsequently extinguished the blaze with water.
The statement added that the walls of the house were blackened, and the incident was suspected to have been caused by a short circuit in a dehumidifier.
