A car flipped on its side after crashing into parked cars on Monday afternoon on Guia Hill, according to a Public Security Police (PSP) statement on that day.
The Public Security Police said in a separate statement that a car crashed and turned turtle in Nam Van on Monday morning.
Car flips on Guia Hill
According to the statement, a female driver in her twenties was driving along Estrada de Cacilhas on Guia Hill towards the public Conde de São Januário Hospital Centre on Monday at 1 p.m., where she said she had suddenly lost control of her car and crashed into four cars parked at the side of the road.
The statement said that the car flipped on its side during the accident, and the woman managed to get out of the car unaided. There were no passengers in the car.
The statement underlined that the woman sustained abrasions on her hands and forearms, while she was conscious and stable at the time she was taken to the public hospital, accompanied by her family members.
According to the statement, the right side of the car was badly damaged, with shattered glass on the ground. The oil spill on the road was removed by firefighters, the statement added.
The four cars on the side of the road were damaged to varying degrees, the statement said, adding that the police have contacted the owners, while the damaged cars were towed away.
The statement said that the driver passed a breathalyser test, and the police have launched an investigation into the exact cause of the accident.
Car turns turtle in Nam Van
According to the other statement, a car being driven towards Macau Tower in Avenida Panorámica do Lago Nam Van crashed on the roadside and turned turtle on Monday at 7:30 a.m.
The male driver and the female passenger, both in their fifties, were able to leave the car unaided, the statement said, adding that the man suffered injuries on his left arm, while the woman sustained injuries on her left index finger, the back of her right hand and her chest. The injuries were not serious, the statement added.
According to the statement, the driver passed a breathalyser test and during the incident no person or animal crossed the avenue. The police are investigating the reason for the driver to lose control.
