Panda papa Hoi Hoi celebrates his 8th birthday

Giant panda papa Hoi Hoi celebrated his 8th birthday with children and ※panda fans§ at Coloane＊s Macau Giant Panda Pavilion yesterday, according to a statement by the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau (IACM) yesterday.

The statement said the bureau organised a birthday party and gathered about 40 children and ※panda fans§ to sing ※Happy Birthday§ to Hoi Hoi, wishing him good health and happiness. He also received a birthday card signed by all attending the party.

The statement also said the bureau used high fibre biscuits and ice cubes of fruit juice as ingredients to make a birthday cake especially for Hoi Hoi.
