Macau’s MICE industry continues to “work hard” even though it has been affected by Macau’s economic downturn, an industry leader said yesterday after a press conference about the upcoming Macau Convention and Exhibition Commendation Awards 2016.
The press conference was held at the Macau Business Support Centre (MBSC).
Alan Ho Hoi Meng, who chairs the Macau Convention and Exhibition Association (MCEA), said that even though the number of meetings and conferences held in the second quarter decreased by seven events year-on-year to 292, according to official statistics released yesterday, the MICE sector continued to be hard at work to organise high-quality events.
