The Tap Siac* Craft Market, which is slated to be held from November 17-20 and 24-27, is calling for applications for stall operators and creative handicraft workshops, the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) said in a statement yesterday.
The craft market will be held four days a week from Thursday to Sunday for two consecutive weeks, according to the statement. Applications, which the statement noted are free of charge, are open from today at 10 a.m. to September 14 at 11:59 p.m. With 133 handicraft and gastronomy stalls available, applications can be made at www.craftmarket.gov.mo.
The bureau pointed out that all products to be sold “must be original designs, with a minimum of 10 models available for sale”. The products may also include both cultural and artistic experience services. The statement said that a lucky draw will be held if the number of eligible applicants exceed the number of available places.
Meanwhile, applicants for the market’s creative handicraft workshops can submit their applications by hard copy, for which the printed application form can be obtained from and submitted to the Cultural Affairs Bureau Building on Praça do Tap Seac, or by email to apply.DPICC@icm.gov.mo, the statement said.
The statement underlined that the workshop applications will be assessed and selected based on criteria including feasibility and attractiveness, as well as the proposed budget and instructors’ experience. More details can be found on the craft market website.
The bureau emphasised that it will follow the government’s COVID-19 pandemic prevention measures. Moreover, enquiries can be made by calling IC representatives Ms. Zhou or Ms. Lio on 8399 6289 or 8399 6292 during office hours.
