The Macau Government Tourism Office (MGTO) announced in a statement yesterday that the Lisboeta Macau hotel in Taipa has been listed as one of the “optional medical observation” hotels for arrivals from Hong Kong, Taiwan and foreign countries.

The term “optional medical observation” hotel means that arrivals having to undergo quarantine can choose to stay there, instead of having to stay in a quarantine hotel designated by the government that they may not prefer.

According to the MGTO statement, Lisboeta Macau will start to serve as a optional medical observation hotel starting tomorrow, and reservations could be made by email from yesterday. However, the hotel will not provide a phone booking service, in order to ensure the accuracy of the information received, the statement said.

Macau’s other optional medical observation hotels are the Grand Coloane and Sheraton Grand Macao.

The rates of the hotel rooms vary according to medical observation hotels, the statement noted, adding that more information about medical observation hotels can be found on the official website of the Macau Government Tourism Office (MGTO) at https://content.macaotourism.gov.mo/uploads/mgto_main/medical_observation_hotels_en.pdf.
