The Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) said in a statement yesterday that as new CCTV cameras will be installed at the Taipa Municipal Garden, the Taipa Houses and the ecological trail in Avenida da Praia; some locations in those areas will be fenced off during the installation of the CCTV cameras.
The statement underlined that the new CCTV cameras will enhance the sites’ security management.
According to the statement, the bureau always ensures and prioritises public safety, and the construction, which will partially fence off some areas, will not affect tourists visiting the locations, while the ecological trail will be closed in sections. The entire installation project is expected to take about 65 days, the statement added.
