A local man fell from his flat on the second floor of a residential building in Toi San district when removing the outside unit of an air conditioner at his home yesterday morning, the Fire Services Bureau (CB) said in a statement.
The incident occurred at Nam Wei Kok Building on Avenida de Artur Tamagnini Barbosa at around 11:30 a.m. yesterday.
The 66-year-old man was rushed to the public Conde de São Januário Hospital Centre for emergency treatment.
The man was not in a life-threatening condition following emergency treatment, and has been hospitalised for continuous observation and treatment, the statement said.
According to the statement, the man sustained injuries to his back and occiput, i.e., the back of his head.
