The government will strive to reduce the impact on residents’ commutes from the numerous roadworks in Taipa, Mok Soi Tou, who heads the Co-ordination Division of the Traffic Management Department of the Transport Bureau (DSAT), said yesterday.
Mok made the promise while speaking to reporters after attending a closed-door meeting of the Taipa and Coloane Community Service Consultative Council, which was held at a community service centre run by the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau (IACM) in Taipa.
Yesterday’s focus of the government-appointed council’s regular meeting was how to reduce the impact on traffic of the ongoing roadworks in Taipa. The council requested Mok, two engineers from the Lands, Public Works and Transport Bureau (DSSOPT) and an IACM official to attend the meeting.
