The 5th Ministerial Conference of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries will take place in Macau on October 11-12, the local government announced yesterday.
According to the statement, delegations from seven of the world’s eight Portuguese-speaking countries – Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, Portugal and East Timor – will participate in the forum.
As in previous years, the Atlantic microstate of Sao Tome and Principe will be absent from the forum because of its lack of diplomatic ties with Beijing.
