Chief Executive Ho Iat Seng expressed today his full support for the nation’s new central leadership.
Ho also said in a statement released by the Macau Government Information Bureau (GCS) that he will, under on the guidance by and with the support from the central leadership, fully and accurately implement the principles of One Country, Two Systems, “Macau people administering Macau”, the Macau Special Administrative Region’s (MSAR) high degree of autonomy, the central government’s overall jurisdiction over Macau, and “patriots administering Macau.”
Ho also said that the MSAR government and all sectors of civil society will “resolutely uphold” the authority of the central leadership with President Xi Jinping at the core, fully implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a new Era and continue to write glorious chapters in the successful practice of One Country, Two Systems with Macau characteristics.
The chief executive also said that with the new leadership at the helm, all Chinese people, including Macau compatriots, are full of confidence in the future development and a better life.
Ho also pledged that the MSAR government and all sectors of civil society will conscientiously implement the spirt of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the spirit of President Xinping’s series of important speeches and instructions concerning Macau, as well as actively work in line with the implementation of the decisions and arrangements of the Party’s 20th National Congress, which ended on Saturday. Ho also promised in his statement that Macau will “work hard, move forward courageously, and work together in unity,” adding that “the new era and new journey will make greater contributions to the comprehensive promotion of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.”
