The Macau Post and Telecommunications Bureau (CTT) said in a statement yesterday that as a building in Fai Chi Kei has been classified as a Red Code Zone due to two of its residents having been infected with COVID-19, the bureau will temporarily keep the mail items and parcel arrival notices, and resume postal delivery to the area once the lockdown has been lifted.

The statement noted that given the situation, CTT postmen are not allowed to access the zones to deliver the concerned mail items.

Moreover, affected Express Mail Service (EMS) item recipients will receive a SMS message from the bureau. Once the lockdown has been lifted, the statement added, the recipients should contact the bureau for delivery arrangements.
