The works of five international contemporary artists are being showcased in the group exhibition “Blind Love” at the Humarish Club Art Space at the Lisboeta Macau H853 Fun Factory until November 15.

According to a recent Humarish Club statement provided by Lisboeta Macau, the exhibition is organised in conjunction with the Macau-based consultancy company that focuses on promoting culture and arts, Pat Culture and Art. Through the theme “Blind Love”, the statement noted, the artists hope to convey the idea that the worst moments of the COVID-19 pandemic have been overcome and to make members of the public realise the importance of love in life through the artworks.

The group exhibition introduces five artists. First among them is Adam Handler, whose works have been exhibited worldwide, with the statement adding that his colourful brushstrokes are perfectly combined with “dark humorous and dreamy images”. Ito Aya, meanwhile, was an artist in residence at the RHA Gallery (Royal Hibernian Academy) in Dublin in 2018. She has received prizes including the Suntory award at “Art Camp in Kunst-Bau 2007” (Suntory Museum, Osaka) and has had several exhibitions.

Painting from the age of seven, Javier Martin has been developing his most iconic series “Blindness” for over a decade. His work has been exhibited internationally across the Pacific and in Asia, the statement said. The statement added that Japanese artist Jun Oson is known for his cartoon character style, while his use of bold and bright colours attracts “countless likes from children and adults”. The artist is active worldwide and has published exhibitions and artworks in places like the UK and France.

Lastly, artist Lin Yen Liang’s works range from paintings to three-dimensional sculptures. The statement said that he paints portraits of children and animals, each having their own “personality and flare”.

The art space is open from Monday to Sunday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Admission is free. More details can be found at https://www.humarish.com.
