Swiss luxury watchmaker Longines announced in a recent statement that Academy Award-winning US actress Jennifer Lawrence has joined the luxury brand as its newest “Ambassador of Elegance”.
Lawrence has amassed a body of work, such as “The Hunger Games” in 2012, that garnered an Academy Award and three additional Oscar nominations, a BAFTA, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, and three Golden Globes, the statement pointed out, adding that Lawrence has also appeared on Time Magazine’s list of the 100 most influential people in the world.
The statement quoted Matthias Breschan, CEO of Longines, as saying that Lawrence is an inspiration to girls and women of all ages.
The statement also quoted Lawrence as saying: “Longines has long been synonymous with timeless elegance, which to me, can be defined as a quiet powerfulness met with grace and confidence. And as a native Kentuckian, I’ve always associated Longines with the Derby* and the embodiment of tradition.”
Lawrence was born in Indian Hills on August 15, 1990.
The statement said that with Lawrence’s unique take on elegance, empathy and compassion, as well as her ability to inhabit every role with honesty and authenticity, she is an inspiring Longines Ambassador of Elegance.
