Delegates from 35 Macau-based enterprises headed for Shanghai today to attend the 5th China International Import Expo (CIIE).A
The enterprises cover industries ranging from conventions and exhibitions, finance, science and technology, e-commerce and catering to manufacturing and logistics, according to a statement by the Macau Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM).
About a quarter of the 35 enterprises are attending the expo for the first time, the government-run institute noted
The delegation will work to expand business opportunities through exchanges with other delegates during the CIIE, which will be held from tomorrow through next Thursday, the institute said.
The Macau businesses will exhibit food and drinks made in Macau or Portuguese-speaking countries (PSCs) as well as services in multiple sectors. A forum will also be held on Sunday in Shanghai to promote the advantages of Macau as a platform linking China and the PSCs.
