GEG recognizes team members as its most valuable asset and dedicates significant resources to supporting their holistic development. GEG works to encourage a healthy work-life balance by organizing regular cultural, recreational and physical activities for team members and their families. GEG has set up eight team-member sports teams through the GEG Staff Social Club – the dragon boat, basketball, badminton, volleyball, table tennis, soccer, bowling, and running teams – which encourage team members to keep physically and socially active. Additionally, GEG is a long-standing supporter of Macau’s sports development, sponsoring a number of the city’s major international sports events – the Galaxy Entertainment Macao International Marathon, the WTT Macao events, the Macau Grand Prix, the FIVB Women’s Volleyball Nations League Macao and the FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix.
To encourage team-member participation in local and international open competitions and tournaments, GEG provides various means of support to its sports teams, including sports equipment, training and support for venue sourcing. Throughout the years, GEG team members have delivered exceptional performances and garnered over 200 awards.
Meanwhile, GEG proactively promotes social diversity and exchange through sports, working with various organizations to support a series of related programs and activities. Through these initiatives, GEG hopes to broaden team members’ sports horizons and inspire them to strive for achievements and personal breakthroughs, whilst emphasizing the importance of sports for all.
GEG and Macau Special Olympics (MSO) co-launch second annual Run with a Partner training program. Mr. Chan Kai Un, Champion in the Macau athletes category of the Macao International Marathon, shares training tips with fellow runners.
