Police probe suspicious fire at airport

The Judiciary Police (PJ) revealed yesterday a suspected case of arson at the local airport.

The incident happened at around noon yesterday. No injuries were reported.

According to a PJ statement, the police found a small amount of burnt paper towels behind a currency exchange shop located in the airport arrival hall. The statement said the fire had been extinguished before the police arrived.

The police also found burn marks on a litter bin and a shelf above a toilet in a washroom opposite to the currency exchange shop, the statement said.
