The first-ever “2022 Macau SMEs Wholesale & B2B Exhibition 2022” is slated to take place from next Friday through Sunday in the Grand Hall on the fourth floor of the Macau Tower Convention and Entertainment Centre.

“SMEs” and “B2B” stand for “Small and Medium Enterprises” and “business-to-business” respectively.

The three-day event, which is organised by the Togather [sic] Culture Company Limited, aims to create a business expo exclusively for local SMEs, while providing a new platform for them to explore more opportunities for business cooperation, according to a statement handed out during a press conference yesterday at the Macau Tower.

The statement noted that the expo consists of three major theme areas, namely “Catering Wholesale”, “Commercial Service” and “Specialty Products”.

Togather Culture Company Limited Founder James Si Tou Chi Chon told the media on the sidelines of the press conference that more than 70 SMEs, including 60 local companies and 10 from the mainland, will participate in the event, which, he said, was expected to attract more than 10,000 person-times and drive exhibitors’ total turnover to three million patacas.

Si Tou pointed out that the event will also cooperate with local business associations and be integrated with a number of booths run by entrepreneurial students from local colleges and universities, aiming to bring together local SMEs and providing them with a new platform to explore new opportunities, new markets and new business opportunities.

Apart from the expo, Si Tou said, a raft of business-themed activities will also be held during the three-day event, such as a business presentation, a business-sharing session and a business-cocktail reception, adding that prominent businesspeople will also be invited to share their views and discuss business experiences with each other.

Si Tou also said that his company was planning to hold such an expo in the mainland as well, hoping to provide opportunities for local SMEs or brands to enter the mainland market, while his company would also hold different types of expos next year to help local SMEs expand their resource network.

According to the statement, those interested in participating can visit the “SMEs Union” Facebook page to get appointment details.
