The Macau Cultural Centre’s (CCM) Singing Club is recruiting new members, with applications open until December 12 for youngsters aged between eight to 16, the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) said in a statement on Monday.

The statement noted that participants will be initiated to the music world, combining weekly choral rehearsals with other performing art forms in an “inspiring learning environment”. They are also given opportunities to “embrace the city” by attending community-orientated and environmental protection events, aside from performing in festivals and other events, according to the statement.

Registered candidates will be individually notified to attend auditions scheduled for December 17 and 18. Upon being selected, new members will pay a 1,200-pataca fee per semester.

In line with the Health Bureau’s (SSM) COVID-19 pandemic prevention guidelines, the Macau Cultural Centre requests candidates to wear a facemask, undergo a temperature check and present a valid green Macau Health Code.

More information can be found at www.ccm.gov.mo or by calling 2870 0699.
