Participants in the 2022 Galaxy Entertainment Macao International Marathon can collect their bibs and information documents starting on Sunday, the Sports Bureau (ID) said in a statement yesterday.
The marathon is slated to be held on December 4.
The statement noted that the items can be collected from M/F of Broadway Macau until December 2 from 12 noon to 9 p.m. and 12 noon to 10 p.m. on December 3. Participants may collect the items after presenting their registration receipt, identification document. Proof of completing the COVID-19 vaccination must show a date before November 21.
Those unable to collect the items themselves may authorise another person to collect them on his/her behalf by signing the authorisation on the registration receipt, according to the statement. The representative must present his/her ID, the signed registration receipt, the participant’s ID copy and COVID-19 vaccination proof.
Moreover, the organising committee will provide free rapid antigen test (RAT) kits to participants. The statement pointed out that nucleic acid test (NAT) results are not required during bib collection, but the participants must complete an RAT on the race day and present a 24-hour valid negative NAT result before being allowed to run.
Meanwhile, the eight-day “2022 Galaxy Entertainment Macao International Marathon Carnival” will be held from Sunday to December 4, with its opening ceremony set for Sunday at 4 p.m. on the first floor at the Broadway Theatre building.
The “Most Creative Costume Award” will also be held once again, and in order to join, participants can take a photo in their costume and upload it to the “Macao International” mobile app, the statement said.
The statement reaffirmed that participants must present a valid green Macau Health Code, a 24-hour valid negative NAT result and a negative RAT result completed on race day when entering the venue during the race day. Participants must act in line with the organising committee’s COVID-19 pandemic prevention measures, read the regulations and prepare for the races accordingly.
