Resort and gaming operator Wynn Resorts will hold the “The 2nd Macau-Qingdao Beer & Cultural Festival and the 1st Macau-Qingdao Week” from December 7 to December 31.

The event will be held on the lawn adjacent to Wynn Palace’s South Entrance from 6 p.m. to midnight.

A press conference was held yesterday at Wynn Macau about the event’s details where Macau Leisure Tourism Service Innovation Association President Paul Wong Fai said that over 20 Qingdao brand enterprises or conglomerates and known agricultural enterprises will participate in the event. An exchange seminar for Qingdao, Macau and Portuguese-speaking countries enterprises will also be held on December 7.

He added that there will be an exhibition zone displaying “Qingdao featured products” from December 7-11, while Qingdao artisans will also be invited to present their intangible cultural heritage craftsmanship.

The festival will also highlight Tsingtao Beer, Macau Beer and a Portuguese beer brand, including the “7 Days’ Fresh” Tsingtao Original Beer and the debut of “Tsingtao Lemon 0.0” in Macau, while a large-scale beer hall will showcase a selection of brews, products, performances, among others.

President and Executive Director of Wynn Resorts (Macau) Linda Chen Chih-ling said in her speech that Qingdao and Macau have “enjoyed a close and enduring relationship”, noting that they “enjoy the same synergies in terms of urban resources and tourism”. Both will cooperate in “promoting the development of twin-city cultural tourism and commercial exchanges”, Chen said.

The event is organised by Wynn in conjunction with the Macau Leisure Tourism Services Innovation Association with Tsingtao Brewery Company Limited, Qingdao Huangdao Development (Group) Company Limited and Macau Beer Company Limited. It is also supported by a number of entities.

Moreover, the Mega Fun Carnival 2022 will be held at the same venue, with features such as the “Family Fun Special” sessions and Macao Tourism Mascot “MAK MAK”. Light installations will also be set up at two of Wynn’s resorts in support of “Light Up Macao 2022”.
