Coro Perosi (“Perosi choir”) sang three choral pieces by Lorenzo Perosi, as well as Gregorio Allegri’s Miserere Mei Deus, two choir members’ compositions, Rodgers and Hammerstein’s show tune “You’ll never walk alone” and Mendelssohn’s “As the Hart Pants” on Sunday night.
The Macau Post Daily published an interview with the two conductors and three members of Coro Perosi on November 23.
After receiving thunderous applause close to the end of the concert at St. Dominic’s (S. Domingos) Church, the choir encored with Mozart’s Great Mass C minor, K. 427: Kyrie.
The second concert, which shares the same programme, will start at 6 p.m. this coming Saturday at Yuet Wah College. The concert is free of charge and there is free seating as well, on a first-come, first-served basis.
